A favorite bike or car is picked out each week and a trophy is awarded. Cruise nights and bike nights take place from May through September and start around 5 p.m. Now for the car lovers there is Cruise Night on Saturdays, hosted by the The Wanderers Car Club of Northern N.J., and for the Corvette enthusiast, they have a night for you on the second Friday of every month.

For the “Little Rascals,” age 10 and under, they serve their meals in a box shaped like a classic car.Īfter a full meal, I just sat on the curb by my bike and watched the other bikes roll in and spoke with a few folks who passed by. The sections are appropriately named: “Whole Lotta Chicken Goin On,” “Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay,” (seafood), and “Goodness, Gracious, Great Angus Burgers!” to name a few. The menu is just as great, everything from milkshakes to pierogies. The red booth seats remind you of the '50s.

Vinyl records and old movie posters line the walls. The first-ever Wawa in Sussex County is opening Thursday morning, replacing the beloved Chatterbox Drive-in, a 1950s/60s-themed restaurant that closed nearly four years ago. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great! A classic or muscle car is always showcased in the center of the restaurant. There is also an outside service area serving up hot dogs and ice cream. There are so many bikes to look at that your buzzer will be going off before you know it. They do take your name and hand you a buzzer so that you can still walk around outside.

It’s wise to get to Bike Night early, to beat the crowd, or you will be waiting on line. I parked my bike amongst the others and headed in for some dinner. The DJ plays a lot of Southern Rock and country music to the delight of the all the bikers.
They also feature vintage posters and memorabilia. You really have to circle the parking lot more than once because something new is always pulling in. The Chatterbox Drive-In is a retro auto-themed diner thats straight out of the 1950s. Goodness, Gracious, Great Angus Burgers Mrs. Find your favorite food and enjoy your meal. You will want pictures of some of the amazing bikes that pull in. Up to date Chatterbox Drive-In prices and menu, including breakfast, dinner, kid’s meal and more. Don’t forget your camera and make sure your phone is charged up. Hundreds of bikes fill the parking lot surrounding the circular building.
Thursday is Bike Night and it’s the perfect ride, with some good friends, from Orange County. The Chatterbox Drive-In in Augusta, N.J., has to be one of the best known cruise and bike night destinations and yet one of the best kept secrets.
